Scranton Santa Christmas Parade
Happy Holidays Everyone….
So on the weekend before Thanksgiving every year there is the annual Santa Parade in downtown Scranton, PA brought to you by the Jaycess of Greater Scranton. I have gone the past three years and it is a great time to get out with the kids and stir up the holiday juices.

This Christmas parade is not like the big Macy’s Christmas parade in New York City, but rather one that features local businesses and college kids holding onto the tiny floating characters. There is tons of candy that is thrown out to the kids and even the Mayor of Scranton, Chirs Doherty, comes out to show his support. The definite highlight of the whole Santa parade in Scranton is at the very end when Mr and Mrs. Claus come riding in on a Scranton fire truck for all to cheer.
So if you are coming into Scranton for Thanksgiving next year, why not come in a little early and join everyone in downtown Scranton for the Santa parade. Just make sure to dress warm!!
